"The Originals" star Joseph Morgan posed for Bello Magazine in 2013. Aside from taking great snapshots, the actor talked about his CW spinoff, "The Vampire Diaries" and more in their October issue.
According to JustJared, the 32-year-old rising star opened up about researching for his Klaus role.
"I've always been fascinated with the genre," Morgan said to Bello. "I had somewhat of a knowledge of vampire mythology before going into the show. I watched a lot of films, read a lot of books, and you know, just kind of immersed myself in it, so in many ways it was a dream job going into this. I just had to familiarize myself with the particular mythology of Mystic Falls."
Daniel Gillies' co-star even talked about how he was landed the popular role as the villainous vampire on "TVD."
"I came into The Vampire Diaries in someone else's body (Alaric), and then I was contracted to do more episodes as a guest star at the end of the second season," Morgan continued, "with the potential to become a regular. I knew if I really messed I up, they'd cover themselves because Klaus could just come into some other actor's body. But luckily they seemed to like what I was doing."
The actor, who had worked alongside Kat Graham, Candace Accola, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Zach Roerig on "Vampire Diaries," even dished that his new show being "darker and edgier "than "TVD."
And he shows off his own edgier side in his magazine spread. In the cover shot, Morgan has a perfectly fresh-shaved face, staring into the camera lens. He donned an elegant winter coat, with a printed collar and tie in the photo.
In yet another classic image, the actor dresses up in an elegant black-and-white suit with a bowtie. He poses with his hand in his pocket, looking very dapper.
